The Ceramic House Studio

During studio sessions clay is purchased at an additional cost.

The ceramic house studio. The pair have been creating ceramics together under the collaborative name mas miek since 2010 and in april 2017 opened their dream studio space in newstead brisbane. The ceramic house is a working studio with inherent site dangers for children as sharp or very hot objects so we have a no children policy in the studio part of the workshop. The pair still create ceramics together under the name in mas miek ceramic house. Regardless of course or level firing charges will be included only if the art piece is fired at ceramic house.

The mas miek range of ceramics is utilitarian unpretentious ware with exciting glaze colours and application. Workshops at the ceramic house. Firings are charged per weight at 7 a kilo. Unfortunately due to workplace health and safety regulations our studio is a strictly adults only workplace.

All other tools glazes and facilities are free to students. We have a full bags 10 12 5kg for 20 and half bags for 10 recycled clay for 2 a log. Our glazes are mixed by hand in the studio. In our studio session clay and firings are at an additional cost.

The sessions are for 15 years and above. Clay may be purchased by the bag from the clay bar onsite at the ceramic house. All of shapes avaliable for painting are on display at the ceramic house.
